A Rooster Party...

Today my friend Barb @ Bella Vista is hosting a 'Show us your Rooster' party.
When I found out about it, I thought 'Oooohhh I want to play along, I love anything roosters.'

After I let Barb know I wanted to participate I realized 'Uhmmm uhhh...even though I love roosters, I don't have many at all'.
See, there is the Rooster Police living in this house and getting any type of rooster past them into the house is close to impossible.

So please don't be too disappointed with the small gathering of roosters I'm partying with today.

Guests of the party are a couple of different sizes of rooster themed hatboxes that hide some of the dishes I sneak into this house. Uhmmm...excuse the blurry picture I was a bit shaky when taking the picture of my ~Out-in-the-open-sneaky-hiding-spot~. A guilty conscience will get ya every time.

As you notice by the time I took a shot of the side of the hatbox I had gained my composure and no more blurriness.

Another fun trio are these magnets that reside in the kitchen. They are small enough that the 'Rooster police' hasn't bothered with them too much.

This one almost slipped by me and didn't make it to the party. It is the lid of a small trunk that holds all my cloth napkins.

Now this one is my pride and joy. I even pleaded my case with the 'Rooster Police' to allow him to live here and take center stage every now and then.

Yeah, I know, I know - it is pretty sad for a rooster party but I tried and for good measure I thought I throw in a picture of the rooster on my Farmtown Farm.
He is a fun guy *grin*

So, yes now you've probably seen the most pathetic rooster party participant but if you rush back to Barb's blog and check her participant list, you will find the most amazing rooster collections you can imagine.

Have a wonderful Friday,

I think your rooster collection is just great. I especially like that proud old guy in front of the window. The wall plaques are really nice, as is the boxes.

I like roosters but I don't LOVE them so I don't really have a lot either (I also live with the Rooster Police)! Anyway, I like your collection especially the hat box - very cute!

I guess I am the odd one, as I don't have any roosters. I have seen many pretty ones out there, but I don't have room for another collection.

Pretty good Tam. The trunk lid is gorgeous. Just my style.
I explained to my husband years ago that when he starts putting as much energy into decorating and designing in our home as I do then he can have an opinion. Until then he can butt out. Works for us but it helps that he also likes country styles.

If it inspires you, your collection is far better than mine. I could not find one rooster in my home. But, I have so enjoyed the rooster party. I really like your rooster box. After this week, I will always look at roosters differently.

I'm still making my rooster rounds!

Oh, your rooster of honor is very grand!!!

(haha...love your rooster police references,
...over here...hmmm...let's just say. I tend to like a bit of everything, especially vintage items, so from a family of real police officers, my hubby although loves antiques too...he would be my "too-much-where-are-you-going-to-put-that?" police.)

Blessings & Aloha!
If you're not tuckered out...hope you stop by my rooster party :o)
