52nd Three Or More Tuesday - Suggestions needed!

Welcome to the the 52nd 'Three Or More' - Tuesday!!!

I apologize ahead of time for jumping back and forth between different
decorating projects but that is actually how they are currently
being completed. One day a little work on this and the next day a little on that.

Today I'm back in the basement and the corner that holds our 'game nook'.

I showed you the bowl of wooden dice that is the centerpiece
on the table when no games are being played.

Since I'm not a minimalist by any means,
that little bowl just won't do and
I found a couple of inspirational pictures for wall decor.

One idea is to look for some vintage or vintage looking
wooden game boards to use as wall art.
I found the following photo at www.jollieprimitives.com

This idea also looks like fun,
to create a piece of wall art that looks like scrabble letters.
I actually have the wood and paint to do this and
FREE is always good in my book.
I found this photo on www.craftcuts.com

How do you like these ideas and do you have any other suggestions that may work?

Now, what do you have to share for 'Three Or More' Tuesday?

Love that room, especially the scrabble letters on the wall. How much fun is that?

I love the new location for this! I really like the Scrabble pieces, but you have enough going on without adding crafts!!! Look at Allposters.com and put in board game art. They have some great ones and would not be expensive to frame with standard poster frames (especially when Hobby Lobby does their 1/2 price frame sale!

Tam,
Thanks for hosting. It's good to be back in the swing of things.

Love your little corner.
Like both looks, but drawn to the bolder colors of the game board myself.
Could just do it all! =0))
Hope life is going well.

Blessings, peace, and hope.

Hi Tam!

You've been a busy busy girl!! The changes going on in your home are incredible. you have to be so excited to be getting such a fabulous kitchen. I looked at the plans and it's awesome. What a brave gal you are to do all this before the holidays. But it will be worth it. Your game/tv room is gorgeous. I love antique gameboards as wall art. The possibilities are endless.

Hope your holidays are blessed in every way, Big hugs, sherry

Hi Tam,
I have a friend who has decorated her stairs and hallway with vintage/antique game boards, it looks great and is always commented on.

Love your blog so much! My idea is to do your own game boards- painting them yourself but making them useable art! Dual purpose and everytime you play checkers or chess (or whatever) you are playing on YOUR work of art!

I love your game nook, especially the banquette seating. Did you have it custom built or is that available "off the rack?" I'd love something like that in our sunroom, at the round table, instead of chairs.

I like all the ideas, but particularly the Scrabble one. That is so cute -- and you can put the words up that suit your family!

And get a bigger bowl for those dice! They are adorable. :-)

Your taste in decorating is so clever and so unique. This corner looks great! I really like the scrabble letters on the wall, and might even use that for my game wall. I do learn so much from this post, because you are a creative and artistic lady.
