Today the wonderful Susan @Between Naps On The Porch
is hosting Metamorphosis Monday.
A couple weeks back I told you that we decided to move
forward with our kitchen remodel and last weekend we
completed the demolition of the old kitchen.
Doing this part ourselves saved us a lot of money.
In a way this is a reversed Met Monday because
looking at the after photos makes me wonder what
we have we gotten ourselves into?!?
Here are the 'Before demo' photos...

And now the 'After demo' photos...
The cabinets have been removed and the refrigerator
and stove will be removed shortly.
The 'non-load bearing' wall and doorway between the old kitchen
and old dining room is gone.
The old tile was also removed, which revealed some crumbling drywall
from an old leak.
The carpet has been pulled out of the old dining room and I pulled
hundreds of staples out of the sub floor after removing the padding.
I must have lost my mind, ripping up a working kitchen right before the Holidays.
Ugghh!
Thankfully the contractor will be here
the beginning of the week and I hope that seeing daily progress,
will ease my mind a bit.
To enjoy more 'Mets' please visit Susan's blog
for a list of all the talented participants of Met Monday.
Susan, thank you for hosting this fun event!
Tomorrow I'll be hosting 'Three Or More' - Tuesday.
For anyone that does not know about 'Three Or More',
it's a weekly event I host where you can share items
that you have three or more of.
This could be a collection,
three pictures of something,
three siblings or more ...the possibilities are endless.
If you'd like to participate,
my post will be up Monday November 16th by 10PM
and you can add your 'Three Or More' post through MckLinky.
I'm looking forward to all of your entries.
Have a wonderful Monday,

I am excited to see the finished kitchen and I bet you are also.
This is the overwhelming part of the reno. I can't wait to see what you end up with and I hope it is done in plenty of time for the holiday meals.
I totally know the feeling of tearing it all out and having it look like a disaster area. Just think about the new spaces that will soon take the place of this torn out shell. I'll be eager to see the end results. Good luck with your project. ~ Sarah
It was lovely before, but I can't wait to see it when it is finished. I love the way you opened up the room. Hugs, Marty
Tam-I am so glad you posted these pictures. I can really get a better feel for the whole layout. I have told you--I liked your kitchen before, but I know you are excited to have that wall down. I think it is going to look great....lots of work and frustration, but worth it. Hang in there!
Really looking forward to seeing the finished product!! Looks like it will be much larger. I have a big interest in kitchen and bathroom projects as I need to redo those areas in my home. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great week.

Hey Tam...long time no talk to. Your kitchen makeover looks like it's going to be dusty...... ;) But, well worth it, I'm sure. Can't wait to see the after pics! ~Hugs, ~CC Catherine
Take heart! It will soon be over, and you will be so glad to have the beautiful new space! Be sure to keep sharing your progress.
Hi Tam!
I know that this is the real nervous part of a redesign. It is freaky seeing all that torn out. But, I'm sure it is going to be beautiful and you are going to be so thrilled ith it!
Can't wait to see the "After the After" pictures! LOL
Have a great day!
OMG Tam! All that work & you were probably still not feeling well! Your new kitchen will be huge! I'm dying to see more pictures as it progresses. ♥ Diane
So much work! And most of it will not show in your final result (it would though if you didn't do it). Good luck on putting it back together and try to have some fun with this project too!
Wow, what an exciting time for you. It must stink not having a functioning kitchen, but it will all be worth it in the end. I can't wait to see how it turned out!
