A few weeks back, during Met Monday, I told you about the kitchen remodel
we were about to start.
We finished JUST in time the morning of Christmas eve,
our last job that morning was grouting the back splash.
I can't believe we got it all done in time to host Christmas eve and that we
only ran into one snag.
The new down draft vent decided to have a faulty switch
and refused to lower itself back into the counter top - annoying but oh well.
The repairman will complete that warranty repair tomorrow and all will be well.
All I can say is that I have dreamed of this kitchen for several years
and I'm more then thrilled with the end result.
This before...
became this view from one side....and this view from the other side...
The under utilized space from before...
(notice the downdraft vent stuck in the 'up' position)...
and this is where the rocker and round cabinet used to be...
To gain more cabinet and counter space this area from before...
Since we lost the corner bench and table for seating
we now have a new breakfast bar on the opposite side of the cook top...
And this wall from before...
The whole family enjoyed our new and improved kitchen
and with it now being open to the dining room and living room
it truly became the heart of the house.
I am soooo happy with how it turned out.

Susan, thank you for hosting this fun event!
Tomorrow I'll be hosting 'Three Or More' - Tuesday.
For anyone that does not know about 'Three Or More',
it's a weekly event I host where you can share items
that you have three or more of.
This could be a collection,
three pictures of something,
three siblings or more ...the possibilities are endless.
If you'd like to participate,
my post will be up Monday December 28th by 10PM
and you can add your 'Three Or More' post through MckLinky.
I'm looking forward to all of your entries.
Have a wonderful Monday,
