Snow Owl Table...

The majority of blog land seems to be deep into
Valentines Day decorating already.
I'm behind, because here we still have snow
and I am just now starting to pack the snowmen decorations away.

With my recent $3 TJ Maxx find as a centerpiece
this will be my last Winter table before I follow the rest of you on to the next Holiday.

The place setting is a silver charger, gray dinner plate I found
for $1 at The Christmas Tree Shop
and the cream salad plates came from TJ Maxx.

My inspiration piece, the snow owl sits on top of a silver snowflake cake pedestal.

I also added covered bowls with handles to each setting...

Here is a close up of the bowls...

I added a few of my Godinger birds to the table as well.

Mercury glass candle holders and crystal glasses add to the wintery feel...

Oh, I almost forgot...

Yes - I know those silver ducks are knife rests.
They were a Christmas present from my oldest son.
But instead of putting them under the tip of the knife
I thought they looked like they were swimming
when I placed them on the salad plates.

Don't forget to visit all of the talented
Tablescape Thursday participants listed at
Susan's blog Between Naps on the Porch.

Have a wonderful Thursday,

Tam, your owl centerpiece is gorgeous and what a deal! I love how you incorporated other birds into the tablescape too. Looks great on that purple coloured tablecloth too. The duck knife rests do look like they are swimming on the plates! Wonderful gift!

Hi Tam!

Very pretty table! Love all your accessories. We still have plenty of snow here in Michigan as well and I expect we still have a lot more to come.

Oh how pretty this all is. What a wonderful gift from your son -- they would take "center plate" on my table as well! This is a fantastic tablescape.

Are you serious? You have a son who bought you knife rests for a gift. Where did you get this mythical creature? Wow. I am so impressed. Nice ones too.
It will be nice to say goodbye to winter.

This is one of the things I love about blogging, I would never have looked at the white owl and thought 'centerpiece'. It is beautiful and you have really showcased it with the soft silver and gray. Wonderful!

What a majestic setting so appropriate for a snowy owl. The little duck knife rests are dear. I like they way you spotlighted them in the center of the plates.

Tam-I love all your birds, especially the owl. I don't believe I have ever seen gray plates, but I like it and it certainly has a lot of possibilities. "They" say gray is the new black :) I saw that mercury glass acorn I love too. Beautiful!
